RSS chief has no role in govt formation: Nitin Gadkari

NAGPUR: Union minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has no role to play in government formation in Maharashtra and it is not “proper to connect him to ongoing developments in the state”.
Gadkari also reiterated that he is not interested in the chief ministers post. In the evening, Bhagwat and Gadkari shared a stage at a book release function in memory of former RSS functionary Vilas Fadnavis.
Bhagwat came into focus after Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis met him at the Sangh headquarters on Tuesday. They were closeted together for about an hour and 15 minutes after the CM made a quick dash from Mumbai.
